Gathering Day particpants enjoyed each other's company: (left to right) Adam Weaver, Clair Zentner, and Leon Hoffard. |
Sister Anne Amaiti led twenty-two companions and friends from Portland and Tacoma on September 29, 2007, for the Companions Gathering Day in the West. Sister Anne gave two presentations: the first focused on Mother Francis as “risk-taker” and the second on Mother Francis’ trust in divine providence. We “risked” practicing our German as Sister Anne led us in praying the “Our Father” in German! We reflected on the landscape of our birthplace as a mirror of the landscape of our souls. We also enjoyed praying together and sharing the ways Mother Francis has impacted our lives. It was a wonderful opportunity to be renewed in our own trust, in divine providence in our daily lives, and in our commitment as Companions in Faith.
