The sculpture of St. Francis of Assisi, pictured on the cover, located in the main foyer of our motherhouse, Our Lady of Angels Convent, greets all visitors as they enter.
This unique representation of St. Francis on a wooden bench, holding a Bible, signifies our commitment to living the Word of God as expressed in the Holy Scriptures.
The artist, Susanne Vertel, created the life-size bronze sculpture at her studio in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
The wooden bench was fashioned by Tom Wright, a carpenter on staff at Our Lady of Angels Convent.
