Background
For more than 150 years, the Sisters of St. Francis, trusting in the providence of God, have ministered to the needs of God's people. In 1994, the Franciscan Ministries Foundation (FMF) was founded. The ability to live the mission depends on resources generated from external sources. The foundation's goal is to seek financial support for sisters' ministries, for retirement, and for other current needs.

How we get our funding
As the development vehicle for the Sisters of St. Francis, the foundation does direct mail appeals three times a year (St. Francis Day, Christmas, and Easter). In addition to these appeals, there is an annual sweepstakes fund raiser and an annual golf outing. We also provide memorial cards and memorials (plaques, trees, bricks, and benches) that provide a way of honoring those who are special in your life, assuring a timeless rememberance.
You are able to help us by direct donations or deferred gifts such as:
- Charitable Gift Annuity
- Charitable Lead Trust
- Charitable Remainder Trust
- Estate Planning
- Life Insurance
The foundation also seeks opportunities to participate in grants, matched gifts, and other corporate or foundation gifts that might support our ministries or support our retired sisters.
