Assistant Director of Nursing, Assisi House, Aston, PA

Description:

  • Assist director of nursing with management/oversight of nurses and nursing assistants.
  • Provide direction to the nursing staff. Assist with completion of performance appraisals, as well as follow through with employee issues.
  • Ensure nursing services are of a high quality.  Communicate and collaborate with Mercy Life to promote optimum nursing care to sisters.
  • Develop and conduct clinical and other in-service/training programs for nursing staff. Participate with orientation of new nursing staff.
  • Participate in the interviewing and selection of new staff. Perform physical assessments and administer PPD.
  • Share on-call with the director of nursing.
  • Flexible schedule—work one to two evenings/nights per week. Make rounds. Provide in-service, training, and updates. Meet with staff.
  • Non-licensed facility

Requirements:

  • Professional nurse licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in long-term care; knowledge of long-term care regulations desirable.
  • Minimum of three to five years’ experience in supervisory positions.
  • Experience with the development and implementation of in-services and training.
  • Excellent interpersonal, management, collaboration, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to serve as a leader as well as a contributing team members.
  • Takes initiative. Works independently.
  • Able to take call, and work evenings and nights.
  • Competent with Microsoft Suite programs.

Administrative Assistant, Assisi House, Aston, PA

Description:

  • Full-time position
  • Provide secretarial/administrative support to the Administrator and other members of the leadership team
  • Able to take minutes, perform calendar management, prepare quarterly/annual report, and work on special projects

Requirements:

  • Self-starter; able to work independently; detail-oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills using Microsoft Suite
  • Minimum of five (5) years of secretarial experience preferably as an administrative assistant
  • Associates degree or business school a plus
