Prepare work schedules for CNAs and nurses. Review and approve time using the Time Advantage system.
Take and place calls to cover call outs.
Maintain an updated contact list of staff with their preferences for shift and available days/hours.
Monitor attendance and lateness—follow through with appropriate corrective action.
Monitor the use of overtime and Paid Time Off (PTO).
Participate in the interviewing and selection of all nursing staff.
Schedule and participate in the orientation of new staff.
Able to support the mission and values of the Sisters of St. Francis.
Scheduling experience in healthcare or nurse with minimum of two years in healthcare; or student working on a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in health care administration with experience in health care.
Excellent computer skills as well as experience with automated scheduling systems preferred.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Takes initiative. Is a self-starter and able to work independently. Posseses sound judgment and the ability to problem solve.
Organized; able to plan and meet deadlines.
Works well under pressure and can handle multiple initiatives.

Canticle Garden Volunteer (Seasonal Opportunity)
Volunteers are needed to help preserve the Sisters of St. Francis’ landscape by volunteering to help in the Canticle Garden. Assist in maintaining our herb garden, Lourdes Shrine, and our Labyrinth. If you enjoy gardening and welcome the opportunity, volunteer to work with our garden staff to maintain one of these garden spots. This opportunity involves occasional volunteering in the garden over the course of the season.
