Leaving her home in Manhattan, Pat Millen entered the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia in 1978. She recalls, “Here I am—used to living alone—living with 26 other people. They’re almost all considerably older, and I’m thinking, what have I done?” But she has not regretted her decision.
