Activities Coordinator, Assisi House

Description:

  • Full-time. Involves working days as well as evenings and weekends as needed to oversee events for the Sisters who reside at the Assisi House.

  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to overseeing, planning, directing, organizing and managing all aspects of the Activities Department.

  • Develop ideas for events and activities. Plans daily, seasonal and special events.

  • Creates the monthly calendars with all activities for the month.

  • Contacts entertainers and makes arrangements.

  • Takes the sisters on outings which involves driving the bus, van, car or golf cart.

  • Monitors the budget.

  • Supervises the activities assistant.

Requirements:

  • Experience developing, conducting, and budgeting for activities and programs for residents in long-term care, including working with dementia care population.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.  Team oriented.

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.

  • Is creative and able to develop and implement new programs and activities on an ongoing basis.

  • Takes initiative. Is able to problem solve and work independently.

  • Is upbeat and has a high level of energy and enthusiasm.

  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office.

  • Valid driver’s license.  Able to operate/drive the bus, van, car and golf cart.

Housekeepers, Assisi House

Description:

  • One (1) full-time position to work 7 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. and rotating weekends & holidays at Assisi House;

  • One (1) part-time position to work 7 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. on weekends and one (1) day a week;

  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to: general housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, trash removal, cleaning rooms and bathrooms.

Requirements:

  • Experience preferred, but not required

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Dependable. Able to work scheduled hours.

Description:

  • Part-time 3:45 P.M. to 6:30 P.M.; two to three nights a week, alternating weekends and holidays

  • Assist with performing basic food production, assembly and set-up, providing waitress/waiter services to the residents, and cleaning-up

  • Perform daily cleaning assignments

Requirements:

  • Experience in food services preferred, but not required

  • Able to work scheduled hours; read and follow instructions; work independently; work as a team player and assist department members; take initiative
