During this Lenten season the Sisters of St. Francis will be collecting funds for the people of Ukraine.  In addition to this monetary collection, the sisters have been attending prayer vigils and advocating for companies to stop doing business with Putin and his Russian supporters.

After Russia invaded Ukraine, hundreds of innocent people have reportedly been killed and thousands more injured, displaced, or left homeless. Thousands more Ukrainian people, including young children, have been left with nothing: no shelter, clothing, food, school supplies or medication, and many of them have felt forced to flee the country in order to reach safety.
