Sister Stella Mary Breen, OSF

Sr. Stella Mary Breen spent many years in education and social service ministry in the South, first ministering to the children of the Irish Travelers then later to the people of St. Helena Island in South Carolina. Hear her speak of her ministry and what it meant to her.

Sister James Frances McGlashen, OSF

At age 98, Sr. James Frances McGlashen officially “retired” from her volunteer ministry at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Langhorne and moved to Assisi House, the retirement home of the Sisters of St. Francis. Now at age 99, she shares a little about her ministry life and what it has meant to her.

Sister Alice Klein, OSF

Sr. Alice Klein, OSF, is 84 years old and is a Sister of St. Francis. She has a real passion for sports and has spent many of her years in playing and teaching various sports. Since moving to Assisi House a year ago, Sr. Alice has joined others in prayer ministry but has continued to be avid sports enthusiast.

Sister St. Joseph Brennion, OSF

Sr. St. Joseph Brennion, OSF, is 85 years old and has been a Sister of St. Francis since 1957. She has a real passion for art and has spent many of her years in ministry teaching art. Since moving to Assisi House a year ago, Sr. St. Joseph has joined others in prayer ministry, but has continued using her art to educate and inspire others.

Sister Mary Teresa Carmichael, OSF

Sr. Mary Teresa Carmichael, OSF, is 91 years old and has been a Sister of St. Francis for 69 years. She ministered in health care and social service for most of those years. Since moving to Assisi House three plus years ago, Sr. Mary Teresa joined others in prayer ministry, but has continued her ministry of writing to prisoners through the Mary Mother of Captives program.
