Collection Benefitting Children at the Border

The Sisters of St. Francis invite you to join with them as they take up a collection for the children at the border.  The sisters will be collecting monies from the congregation on May 22, Pentecost Sunday. However, you can make your donation at any time.

The Social Concerns Committee at Our Lady of Angels Convent in Aston has scheduled a collection for Annunciation House in El Paso, Texas. This collection will benefit children at the border. LCWR has requested help to meet the children’s material and monetary needs as they travel to reunite with their parents and/or sponsors.

Currently, our Sr. Caroline Sweeney is again ministering at the border in El Paso. She does so on the shoulders of a number of previous Franciscans who have been there, such as Srs. Julia Tierney, Moira Frawley, and Libby Pepe.

This collection provides an opportunity for our sisters to live into our corporate stand on immigration and to contribute to—and thus participate virtually in—this endeavor.

Donate here and make sure you note that the donation is for Annunciation House in Texas.
